Who's the team behind Canary Mail?

Canary was co-founded by two indie developers, brothers Sohel (Johns Hopkins, Bridgewater Associates) & Dev (Caltech, Pocket Gems) Sanghani. The original idea was to build a light, minimal email client for macOS & iOS. The team has since expanded and is now spread across the United States, Singapore, and India.

Does Canary offer end-to-end email encryption?

Yes, Canary offers two methods for end-to-end email encryption. First, there's PGP, the most secure email encryption method available. Second, there's SecureSend, which allows sending encrypted emails easily to anyone, whether or not they use Canary.

Can I use my own PGP encryption keys?

Absolutely. You can use and manage your existing keys generated via GPGTools, Symantec Desktop, etc.
